What is Modvigil?

Modvigil contains the exact same ingredients as Provigil from Cephalon Inc. As with Modalert 200; the main difference is simply the name of the brand. Modvigil is a generic brand of Modafinil. Like Provigil and Modalert – Modvigil contains exactly 200mg of pure Modafinil.

Although Modalert seems to be the chosen generic Modafinil for millions of consumers, Modvigil stands proud in second place. As each brand contains the same ingedients, the main difference is price. Modalert is much cheaper than Provigil, and Modvigil is much cheaper the Modalert. So for those with shallow pockets on a strict budget – Modvigil ™ 200mg is the choice.

Modvigil is sold in blister packs containing 10 tablets per strip. Modvigil blister strips are less malleable than the Modalert strips. However, Modvigil strips may be torn apart using the perforated lines provided. Please see the image above.

Modvigil Dosage Recommendations

Much like our other brands of Modafinil (Modalert) and Armodafinil (Artvigil & Waklert), each Modvigil tablet is carefully manufactured to include a breaker line along the center of the tablet. This means that each 200mg tablet may be broken in half (along the breaker line) to give an accurate 100mg dose. For many users, 100mg is more than enough to give an adequate feeling of wakefulness, focus and attention. Depending on individual circumstances, some users may take up to 200mg to obtain the maximum desired effect.

It’s important to understand your specific metabolism and personal reaction to Modvigil. So we recommend taking 100mg (half a tablet) on an empty stomach as early as possible. You should begin to notice the effects within 1 hour, with the main effects beginning to diminish after approximately 6 – 8 hours. It’s not recommended to take more than 400mg (two tablets) in any given 24 hours. Please read the following information from the official product insert of Provigil branded Modafinil.

 

The recommended dosage of PROVIGIL for each indication is as follows:

Narcolepsy or Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA): 200 mg once a day in the morning.

Shift Work Disorder (SWD): 200 mg once a day, taken approximately one hour prior to start of the work shift.

Modvigil is very well tolerated by the vast majority of individuals. In fact, a recent study found that Modafinil had zero recorded deaths in its 18 years of use in 20 countries [22][23]. Having said that, no drug is completely void of possible adverse reactions.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

PROVIGIL

Provigil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to modafinil or armodafinil.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

Serious Rash, including Stevens-Johnson Syndrome: Discontinue PROVIGIL at the first sign of rash, unless the rash is clearly not drug-related.

Angioedema and Anaphylaxis Reactions: If suspected, discontinue PROVIGIL.

Multi-organ Hypersensitivity Reactions: If suspected, discontinue PROVIGIL.

Persistent Sleepiness: Assess patients frequently for degree of sleepiness and, if appropriate, advise patients to avoid driving or engaging in any other potentially dangerous activity.

Psychiatric Symptoms: Use caution in patients with a history of psychosis, depression, or mania. Consider discontinuing PROVIGIL if psychiatric symptoms develop.

Known Cardiovascular Disease: Consider increased monitoring.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Most common adverse reactions (≥5%): headache, nausea, nervousness, rhinitis, diarrhea, back pain, anxiety, insomnia, dizziness, and dyspepsia.

INTERACTIONS

Steroidal contraceptives (e.g., ethinyl estradiol): Use alternative or concomitant methods of contraception while taking PROVIGIL and for one month after discontinuation of PROVIGIL treatment.

Cyclosporine: Blood concentrations of cyclosporine may be reduced.

CYP2C19 substrates, such as omeprazole, phenytoin, and diazepam: Exposure of these medications may be increased.

Pregnancy: Based on animal data, may cause fetal harm.

    I have been using modapharma for over 2 years and have always had a positive experience. You get legit modafinil that works great, its allowed me to be more productive at and away from work. Shipping has gotten a little slower this year (covid) but thats not anything that they can control, just know that depending on where it being shipped to, you can expect a couple of extra week delay in getting your package.

    I have been using Modafinil support (in various forms) for over two years. Important! I have not felt the effects of withdrawal even once (the longest break is 4 months). The longest time without sleep is about 48 hours. With such a long time, the advantage and disadvantage is the lack of a noticeable change after taking it. After so long, I obviously needed to sleep (my normal cycle is 4 to 6 hours a day): I slept 12 hours. Besides, no sleep disturbances (even two hours after taking – if I want to go to sleep – I fall asleep without any problem).
    For such a long time of use, I have developed an optimal system: the first dose is Modafinil, after about 6 hours. generic.
    Recently I got a replacement for Vilafinil instead of Modalert. I noticed a strange regularity – increased libido (in a woman it’s strange. I use contraception for a long time, so it’s not an adaptation of the body. Single-component contraception is the only drug I take).

    I read a lot before I reached for modafinil. I am afraid of all drugs, drugs etc. However, the amount of research and their effects and articles convinced me to try. First taken under control for side effects. Nothing happened, I felt nothing. I thought – a scam. I was fooled. However … my job is to assign numbers to different categories and continue using them. For example, I have to remember 80 numbers with their meanings. At one point I found myself after one use of a given number with a category – I remember its meaning. Indeed, I have been focused a long time. However, if I want to go to sleep – it doesn’t matter when I was taking modvigil – I have no problem with it. Sleep quality is also normal. Indeed, the mood improves slightly, but not like high, but as after taking an antidepressant.

    I typically take a 200mg dose, with noticeable effects lasting about 12 hours. I typically don’t feel jittery, unless I drink a little too much coffee while I’m taking it.

    Be careful as to when you take it, as you might have trouble sleeping if taken too late. I would leave at least 12 hours between taking the pill and going to bed.

    I have been looking at trying modafinil for a couple of years now, I never really went any further than reading all about it and seeing the uses people take it for and the benefits that people are reporting. Well I also have a non-traditional work schedule. I work 12 hour shifts 6pm-6am but for only half the week, so the second half I try to rotate my sleep schedule the other way around, most of those days off I am super tired and mentally foggy and didn’t want to continue that way. So I went ahead and ordered some to try out. The order process was drop dead easy since I already buy things with bitcoin, it was as simple as buying some BTC and sending it to the address provided, that part took less than a couple of mins. Shipping took a little bit, but I expected it was going to take a couple of weeks, I got mine about 2.5 weeks after the order was placed (not unusually long IMO) On my first day off I split a tablet in half as a starting point and it worked great, kicked in about a hour after I took it on a empty stomach and lasted about 8-9 hours, but even after that I was pretty alert not very tired. I did have to take a zyrtec a couple of hours afterwards since Modvigil releases histamines and its allergy season here, I also had a slight headache, but that was already there from being tired from the night before. The next day I was able to sleep in a couple hours longer than I normally do, so when I woke up I didn’t want to take 100mg again so I split that half into a 50mg and took that and took a zyrtec along with it to combat the allergy effect I had the day before. So far so good, I feel the effects, I am alert and awake and ready to function, curious to see how long the 50mg dose lasts. Pretty pleased so far and will be ordering again as soon as I start to run low
